RedBird has the capability to design, supply and install Fender Systems for all kinds of application and in particular marine fenders.
In Shipping & Boating, a fender is a bumper used to absorb the kinetic energy of a berthing Boat or Vessel against a jetty, quay wall or other vessel. The principal function of the fender system is to prevent the vessel or the dock from being damaged during the mooring process or during the berthing periods. Forces during the vessel berthing or anchoring may be in the form of impact, abrasive action from vessels, or direct pressure. These forces may extensive damage to the ship and structure if suitable means are not employed to counteract them. The amount of energy absorbed and the maximum impact force imparted are the primary criteria applied in accepted fender design practices.
Fenders are constructed in several ways, typically of rubber, foam elastomer or plastic. Rubber fenders are either extruded or made in a mould. Which type of fender is most suitable for an application depends on a lot of variables, including dimensions and displacement of the vessel, maximum allowable stand-off, berthing structure, tidal variations and other berth specific conditions.
Boats usually have mobile fenders which are placed between the boat and the dock as the boat approaches the dock. Docks and other bodies, to which boats may approach, such as canal entrances and bases of bridges, have permanent fenders placed to avoid damage from boats.

Ship to Quay: Marine fenders are used at ports and docks on quay walls and other berthing structures. They are used to absorb the kinetic energy of a berthing vessel and thus prevent damage to the vessel or the berthing structure. There are many types of marine fenders such as
